Adding to that sole gold medal won by the water polo team, Singapore has delivered a stunning 10 gold medal haul in the first official day of competition!
2 from the table-tennis teams, despite facing some challenges from the Vietnamese men's team in the semi-finals (ended 3-2 in Singapore's favour) and Thai's women's team (forcing close scores in every set; they won zero sets though).
3 more from the shooting team, and 5 from swimming! It was close but just enough for the 4*200m freestyle team relay, Marcus Cheah eventually edging a charging Miguel Molina of Philippines in the final stages.
With 11 golds, we are currently sitting ttop.
